I seem to remember reading that someone here found suitable replacement lug nuts for the 14x7 Turbocast II wheels. I'm looking for a set of 20, they don't have to be factory correct but they do need to be the proper shank style nuts. I tried the search feature with no luck, so thanks for any help!

They are reproduced. Contact Chad Quella, phone 804-244-0114 (Eastern time zone!) or e-mail (best) ramblerman@bowlingtech.com. $7 each or $130 a set of 20, not sure if postage is included or not.

I have a friend who has a 1982 Corvette Collector Edition. The wheels for that series uses the same lug nuts as the Turbo Cast II wheels. I was very surprised. This may be another source for you. I don't know which other years may have also used them.

The Corvette rim of that era did use the same design as the Turbocast unfortunately Chevy used 7/16" wheel studs and AMC is 1/2". Having been around the tire/wheel business I have always kept an open eye for any of the bigger lug nut makers (ie McGard, Gorilla) who were making anything similar and would work but don't know of any. I don't think I would be in a big hurry to spend $150 on a set of lug nuts but if you want to use them bad enough you may not have an inexpensive option.

If you have one, go to a good local parts store where they will take the time to look in their books. Our local Carquest has ways of finding almost anything.

I finally did purchase a set of the new Turbocast II lugs from Chad Quella (spiritgtman on eBay) for $145 with shipping. I'm really not that cheap but since I plan to sell the car in the spring I was hoping to find something less expensive. But for the money I am very pleased with the quality of the lugs as well as Chad's packaging and fast shipping. A highly recommended product for anyone needing these unique lug nuts. Here are some not so great pics of the Concord's new shoes, I will post some better ones after I pull it back outside.

That's a darn good looking Concord wagon! I suppose you'll be listing it in the classifieds here? I'm not interested in another car myself, but will know where to send people!
