I don't think those come off the wiper shaft. They look pressed.

Are you just trying to install some new wiper arms?

You probably need new posts, or new linkage assembly.
74 Hornet Hatchback X twins (since 1977)
62 American Convertible (still worth the $50 I spent in 1973!) AMCRC #513, AMO #384
70 AMX 360 4-speed (since 1981)

They are formed onto the linkage- basically "riveted".  You need a new linkage assy.

How bad are the knurled “hubs” ? They may still work ok if the mating splines in the wiper arm are still good. As a last resort you could drill and tap the arm hub for a small set screw to hold the arm tight.
Long time AMC fan. Ambassador 343, AMX 390, Hornet 360, Spirit 304 and Javelin 390. All but javelin bought new.

The base of the arm doesn't have enough thickness for a set screw.  If you want to get ghetto, then drill for a spring pin.  But rain-x should do it for a rarely driven fair weather car.

they do sale pivot arm repair kits for different cars but they don't give you the sizes of the post. later amc cars had different size posts and AMCLIVES sales a pose adapter so you can put later wiper arms on the earlier cars.
