I was searching for a part and a tool to repair a vacuum wiper motor and found this instruction for lubrication the motor.  I know lubrication has been discussed here but this seems definitive and I note that this service is recommended several times a year.  Who new?

When I rebuilt mine I used this stuff. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001UHMNW0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glc_fabc_3XBPRCB8B6Z6JDH9PT84
I've yet to put the car together so no idea how well it will work.

On my 67 Ambassador I give it a squirt of penetrating oil of whatever brand is in my hand about once a year or so.  There's probably better but that has worked for me for quite a while.

When I rebuild my motors I've found 10W30 works as well as anything else I've tried and better than most. It sounds like "not too thin, not too thick" is the right lubricant!

But I didn't think it needed to be done so often. I take this as a reminder, I'll do both of mine soon.

There's also a felt wick ("air filter") in the tube in the front of the motor, I've oiled that. Hmmm... at least on my 68 it ought to accept a hose, I may try making a "J" of hose, and squirting oil in there with engine and wipers running, see if that works.
