We have concluded that these must be V8 timing sets...They came from the AMC engine plant in Kenosha...The large sprocket has the number 3234234 cast into it...My older parts book does not list this.....so can someone provide a exact fitment? Thankyou

3234234 comes up as 79 to 91 Jeep 304 and 360 camshaft timing gear.

Interesting to see those oiling slots in that factory gear. But people are brazing slots shut on new production gears. Hmmmm.

Different width from the older V8's, IIRC.

That's interesting. I have seen a listing for NOS parts that had a wide and narrow timing chain for the V8's. Asked about it and the seller did not know anything other than the width.

I can comment on BU1 observation on the oiling slots. My timing chain slots were .190 wide and .140 deep. Obvious cause of distributor gear failure. My OEM 1970 gear by comparison they were .060 wide and .040 deep. So yeah, you need to braze up the replacement gears.
