I would like to share my 69 CJ5 with you guys. I feel like it has enough AMC jeep parts upgrades that it is worthy of sharing here.
I purchased the jeep in 2014 as second/hunting vehicle. I quickly realized that pre AMC jeeps were really just street legal tractors and a host of upgrades were necessary to fit my needs. After a couple years of driving and upgrades I ended up with the following specs:
Buick 225 "oddfire" V6 with crank fire throttle body fuel injection
Ford T18 granny gear transmission
Dana 20 transfer case with Terra Low 3.15 gear set
Axles from a 1975 CJ5 with ARB air lockers in both front and rear
Power Steering from an 85 CJ7
Leaf springs from a 87-95 YJ
Aluminum radiator
Ceramic coated Sanderson headers and stainless exhaust
Custom roll cage
Custom spare tire carrier
I preformed all fabrication and suspension work.
I organize the annual Rubicon Trail trip for the Early CJ5 forum. The jeep has crossed the trail 3 times now. My wife and I took a 1000 mile road trip in the jeep for our honeymoon. We have driven it all over Northern California and Oregon from doorstep to destination it has never gone on a trip on a trailer.

My 66 CJ body plate says it is a Kaiser but the registration says it is a Willy. The field must be too small to say Willys.

As well you should share it.
It is worthy.
I have a '66 Wagoneer...and yes it was built by Kaiser/Jeep, but as it has an AMC 327, I consider it an AMC.

By the way, the picture below looks like it is Pismo.
If so, that's in my backyard.

I like that fact that you drive it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    And drive it a lot!!!!
My Comanche is a show vehicle, nice shiny paint, but my truck gets driven 2-3000 miles a year.

Very Kool!!!!

Very nice...!!
I have to ask, what kind/brand of rocker guards do you have. I've been trying to find some that will fit with fender well exit headers like you have on yours.
Keep on Jeepin'..!!

That's Sand Lake Dunes in Tillamook, Oregon.
We had an Early CJ5 forum meet up in the Tillamook State Forest. One day of forest trail riding, one day of beach riding.

I have a 1977 CJ5. Those look nicely made and I'm interested in a pair.

Sorry about the picture size.
I just sold my last two sets. I have 6 more sets in production that will be done in a couple weeks.
Prices on steel have gone up since the last run. I think that CJ5 length sliders are going to be $260 plus the ride for this round of production.
