I have a 1960 Rambler American, which I just purchased. When the seats were re-installed after an upholstery job, it appears that a couple of small springs were not. In that pivot joint between the two front seat sections, there are two "ratchet pauls"? - sort of pendulum type arms with small weights and notches in them. The driver's seat will only adjust to the full distances if I hold the one down on that side. It appears that there are small holes drilled one end of both of these pieces. I suspect I am missing springs for that purpose, and I have no clue where they would attach. Can somebody fill me in on what that setup should be? Should two springs be in there? and would they pull those pieces forward, or backward? Thanks much for any info you can provide! Ramblin' Rob
