All,

I do have fender welting in White and Black.  I wanted to fit it to the new flares when they came in but they have been delayed so we will be fitting it to an old flare.

I posted some profile pics.  The top piece is the NOS piece.  The bottom 2 are the reproductions.

Price per piece is $20.  Each piece is 6 foot long, same as the NOS one used to reproduce.  I have a box to ship them in.  I recommend that you unpack and relax the welts when you receive them.  My NOS one has been rolled for a long time and there are lots of kinks.

VR,
Dave

Hi Doc, Welcome!

The short answer is that the project has been scrubbed.

We couldn't get in production with the flares.  The pricing kept creeping up and quality questions/processes were difficult to resolve.  We were approaching 18k for 12 sets of Flares for 79 and 80.  I was interested in '78 and would have had to produce 2 more flares to cover the rear of the Concord AMX and Gremlin GT.  I lost hope that I could get a good product, cover costs and get what I wanted done.

I did try and contact Vicrez when they were asking for suggestions for new products.  I suggested Spirit AMX Flares but they never contacted me back.  I would suggest that anyone interested contact them.  I think this project would be in their sweet spot from a materials and manufacturing standpoint but perhaps not giving them a good vibe for actual sales.

Doc,
For the front air dam / spoiler, check with APD or Kennedy.  I am pretty sure they both list them.  They may not have one in stock but a reproduction will come in eventually.  There is some discussion on them buried in this thread.

The fender flare is more problematic but I wish you luck.  I usually see them in sets.  Maybe you will get lucky and somebody will have one.  I would post an ad looking for it in the wanted section.

VR,
Dave

VICREZ responded:

"
Hello, thank you for contacting us! Regarding to your request we are sorry to say we do not have available fender flares for 1978 AMX Concord or AMC Gremlin,
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate in asking.

I recommend anyone interested in flares contact them and let them know.  I don't know how many inquiries would be needed before they would consider the project.  I am not adverse to putting to providing some funding so long as that makes sense for me.  https://www.vicrez.com/?ref=logo
