I've moved some of my latest restoration photos here and will be adding more. Thought it would be a good idea to put them in one thread.

Still waiting for the body shop to call so I started getting other parts repaired and painted.

-Steve-

Worked on the floor vents. The originals in my car are brittle and broken. Got a good pair at Cordova several years ago and had to change the color. Cleaned up all the rusty metal, painted it all and reassembled.

Painted dash pieces.

Dash metal repair.

Painted metal dash pieces.

This instrument overlay had many cracks and several pieces were broken loose. I used Plastex to repair it. Got quite a few hours in this piece.

Also repaired a nice grille I have. The mounting tabs for the headlight doors on one side were missing when I got it. Used some tabs from a trash SST grille to repair it.

Changed the shape of this piece to mirror the one on the opposite side.

Painted and ready for trim pieces.

Funny enough I used Duplicolor engine enamel. There's a lot less metallic in it and the color was the closest match I could find. These colors are also low gloss.

I still need to do the silver and chrome detailing on the overlay. Got an idea or two about how to do that.

Finished the instrument bezel using a Testors felt tip paint pen to do the silver outlining. Wish I had taken photos of this before I started. It was a busted up mess.

Boy, that looks good.  Do you have the one piece or two piece dash?

I have the later one piece. Car was built in May of 1970.

Got the seats back from the upholsterer, maybe I should have taken a crack at it myself. I'd give the job a 7 out of 10. Armrest looks like crap. The thing that really bothers me is I asked if he could put the original buttons back in the front seats (covers come with some other type of button that doesn't install the same way). They said they would but they didn't.

I'll let them sit in the sun a bit and see if the wrinkles work themselves out.

-Steve-

Original front seat button anchors.

Replacement anchors.
