FWIW, my RV tires are inflated based on the weight each tire carries using a inflation/load chart from Michelin.

You can find a common passenger car tire inflation table on the BF Goodrich website.  Most of the radial TA's (which I have on my car) recommend a maximum inflation pressure of 35 psi.  That's a starting point based on weight carried for each wheel.

Here's the chart and you may draw your own conclusions about what is "correct" for your application.
