Have the new red decals to install on a better condition center cap, any suggestions on attachment?

Would a thin layer of clear silicon be enough?

All the ones I have ever bought had a 3M peel off adhesive backing, and stuck like no ones business.

I didn’t trust the peel and stick adhesion so I applied a thin film of clear rtv sealer to the surface before putting the new stickers on. I don’t use high pressure when hosing off the car for a wash but those stickers are still on after two years. Call it peace of mind.

Hmmm, mine don’t seem to have a peel and stick on the back, just a clear protection on the front.

Guess I’ll go with the clear rtv… mine get sponge bathes as well.

Thanks
