I am looking online at Procar seat adapter brackets for a 68 AMX.
The Procar site lists adapter brackets for 69-71 AMX.
My question is: Does the 68 AMX seat mount differ from the 69 and 70 model years?

I noticed Procar doesn't list 1968 in their "fits" list. Although 1968-1974 AMX & Javelin seats are interchangeable. I installed Procar Evolution Series Suspension seats in my 68 AMX. The brackets ( Procar # 81-128 & 81-129)  had to be modified....repositioning couple of the floor mounting tabs. No biggie if you have a welder. Hopefully by now Procar has corrected this since my purchase in 10/29-2019.

Thank you for the response.
I have a welder and can make modifications if needed. I am looking at the Procar Rally line in leather.
Other than your modification, are you happy with the seats and brackets?

Yes. I am extremely happy. I'm a slender 6'4" and the original seats were too high. Also, I did not like the original tan seat seat color or the original tan carpet color.

Good to hear it works for you. How's the lower back support and adjustability?

The Procar Evolution seat offer excellent lower back support and recline design. I installed Recaro SE seats in my 68 Mustang GT FSTBK. They are as comfortable as the Procar Evolutuion series Suspension seats. I recommend not buying either seat if you are overweight. I fit comfortably snug in both brands I mentioned. My BMI is 21-1/2 (slender 6'4") @ 185 lbs. The Evolution seats are a wee bit pricey @ $786.00 plus tax, from Summit Racing. The brackets cost about $100.00 each. So, $1,672.00 pair, plus tax.
