I bought a milwaukee corded impact wrench many years ago and
I think it has the capability to go to 300 ft. lbs. of torque, so it's
a capable tool, IMO, and has served me well.

I use the "old" Easco ratchet set that I bought in high school.
Still work very well and not a problem!

Not Milwaukee, but use the Bosch version everyday. Technology has come a long way. Don't sell your compressor just yet though, if you look at the specs the compressed air impact guns are much more powerful.

I have a Dewalt 3/8 drive cordless impact. Great for use at junkyards.

DeWalt 1/2 inch drive can really twist things.I've had it for 3-4 years and use it for many many project.  It use the same 18 volt batteries drills and other common tools use. Wink

They've got 20, 60 and 120 volt stuff now with lots of torque. Almost no need for air tools anymore. Pricey but worth it.

If I had a better compressor, I'd have some air tools, theya re still pretty good. I do agree with a cordless impact, drill, saw, etc

We use 20v Ingersoll 1/2" impacts at work. They develop over 1000lbs of torque. They'll twist off a 3/4" bolt if you're not careful.

I had a cheapo Black & Decker cordless ratchet back in the 90s.  I used it all the time until the battery died. By then they had discontinued it and I couldn't find another. Not something for heavy-duty service, but it was surprisingly strong.

Milwaukee makes one now, but you're at $150 by the time you get the battery and charger.  I keep waiting for them to go on sale at Home Depot, but I've been waiting two years now.

I got a  Ingersoll Rand 20V impact,  plenty powerful for anything i'd ever want done, i've even made a adapter to a drill chuck, lot's of broken drill bits in my future.

But it was free,  it's retail price ( the whole kit, recharger and extra battery)  is almost as much as my compressor.   But i never would have bought it if I had to come up with the money.   I won it as a contingency prize after winning a race a couple of years ago.

It's funny considering Ingersoll Rand is major compressor manufacturer. I might check it out.

My, I don't need to twist off bolts,  Nothing worse..  My Dewalt tightens Lugs good but I always check with a long handled ratchet

I have the 20V Max DeWalt tools.  I have almost every tool they make.  I'm one of those tool junkies- I buy thinking I may need it one day.  I stay with one brand for battery and charger compatibility.  Milwaukee is a good brand.

The wife bought me one of these for xmas:  kinda large with the m18 battery,
but has already saved me time.  it's a 3/8" drive size, but allows for 1/4" and
1/2" nut drivers to attach.  two speeds, up to 30 ft. lbs and 30-60 ft. lbs.

I’ve got the Milwaukee 3/8 and 1/2” m18 impacts , they are great . You can also put the 1/4,3/8,and 1/2” adapters in your hex impact and it is great for speeding things up and small fasteners . Nice to see some action in this tool section , I’m a tool junkie and love reading this section

Looking at the M18 FUEL - Milwaukee ,
Claims it has 250 ft torque, which is about 99% more than of what I will ever do.
Has three LED’s lighted and light weight and shorty head design.
Looked at one at the store, rather impressive small and affective unit.

Bought the Milwaukee M18 1/2'' impact so I would not have to drag around my 3/4'' air impact to remove and install wheel nuts on heavy duty trucks (36,000# g.v.w. and larger) works great, checked fasting torque, met specs

I have both the milwaulkee 3/8 and 1/2 impacts. And I have ingersoll air impacts as well.  I am old school. I like air, but the battery ones do well at times too

for what it is worth, I have the Ridgid brand of cordless tools. The 1/2 impact works great. I have used it for the past 2 yrs and no issues.

I picked up this Bosch impact driver at Lowes over the weekend. Heckuva price at $99 and uses the same batteries as my Bosch drill . Impressive little tool

I bought this piece of garbage with the single forward/reverse trigger.  Maybe it's Alzheimers setting in but I never seem to get the right direction the first time. The single trigger with a reversing switch is a much better offering, IMHO.

I use the Milwaukee M18 1/4" hex drive impact and I'm more than satisfied with it. The 1/4" hex drive makes it very versatile especially since it allows me to use my DeWalt 1/4' hex right angle adapter, which allows me to get into some tight and tricky areas. The only downside is that when I use it on max power it will occasionally break some of the 1/4" hex fittings. Overall the utility outweighs the small price of a few fittings here and there

I've been switching all my cordless stuff to the Milwaukee M18 stuff. It's nice having less chargers and batteries and so many tool options.

I bought the Ryobi cordless impact from Home Depot, primarily because it uses the same battery pack as my drills.  I'm really pleased... don't know how I got along without it all these years!

My son gave me a new DeWalt XR impact with 1400 breakaway torque. I haven’t used it yet.

I also had a Ryobi set and it did the job but one battery went dead so I was down to only one. Decided to sell all my other cordless tools on marketplace and do some upgrading. I decided on the Milwaukee M18 stuff as my kid uses them at his shop and swears by them. Like the Ryobi they use the same batteries for everything which is a big plus. I used to have 4 different chargers on the bench and tools all over. Now I have the Milwaukee packout wall rack with everything in it. To have the same batteries for my drill, driver, sawzall, weedeater, blower, hedge trimmers etc etc and lot of other tools on my list is great! The best part is my kid has a TON of M18 stuff so I can borrow any of his stuff if I need it.

I have a mix between the Fuel series and the brushless. My level of use doesn't IMO justify the extra on some stuff that doesn't get used as often like a sawsall.
