The Hudson club will be joining us for this event, so we are expecting a great turnout!

Spent a few nights in Townsend lately and found the Foothills Parkway was closed. Was looking forward to running The Tail Of The Dragon but with that closure had to back off. For those who might want to run it this fall you might check ahead on closure? LDL

Just 5 weeks away. I've been sorting parts for a few weeks now. Should have a pretty good selection of early Hornet and SC/360 parts plus a few AMX & Javelin parts in the vendors area..

For the Kenosha Homecoming way back in 1998 we made signs to put in our cars with "The AMC Forum.Com" on one line, "member: yourmemberhandle" on another. I still have mine on my dash! Would be a good idea for people going to do that. It's nice to put a face (and car!) to a Forum member's user name. I don't have the template that was used anymore. Can get a photo of mine and make one later this week if anyone is interested.

We were there this last may and the foothills parkway was still closed.

Hey Frank, I'm interested.
Maybe just post a pic to give an idea of size.  We should be able to make our own or have one made.

Having something displayed on your vendor table or somewhere would be nice to! Just to let us know you're a forum member and what your "handle" is so other members can introduce themselves when they walk by.

McGhee-Tyson Airport is in Alcoa, just south of Knoxville, and serves the Knoxville area. It's 30-35 minutes from the Tally Ho Inn where the show will be. Airport website is http://www.flyknoxville.com" rel="nofollow - www.flyknoxville.com

While you are technically correct that the airport is in Alcoa and not in Knoxville (where it was originally located), I have never heard a local say they were flying out of Alcoa. They say flying out of Knoxville. I am a local born East Tennessean for 72 years and graduated from U.T. Knoxville. Go Vols! And locals say Knoxvul, not Knoxville. Alcoa is in Blount County, pronounced Blunt. Just getting you all accustomed to East Tennessee. Wink

Oh yeah, we do wear shoes, although Joe Roberts (71 SC360) has been known to go barefoot at some AMO shows.

This show is only two weeks away. I have two vending spots and I've been sorting loads of small parts and hardware so I should have a very large selection of goodies there, including stuff I've never brought to shows before....

I'll be wearing shoes this year, the show and parts areas are all on grass....

I spent this past week near the Dragon. The parkway was open at 129.

For anyone interested, the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center is less than a mile down the road from the Tally Ho Inn. There is going to be a John Denver tribute performance there Friday 23rd. Since my wife is a JD fan, and will be spending Saturday at the show with me, I'm taking her! If anyone is interested go to http://www.gsmheritagecenter.org/" rel="nofollow - https://www.gsmheritagecenter.org/ and click on Concerts/concert Tickets. They have a covered amphitheater. Should be good! Just visiting the Heritage Center should be interesting as well.

One week away...

If you are into Hornet's or Gremlin's I will have a pretty good selection of 70-72 parts at the show. I decided to let some of the early Hornet parts that I've been hording for years go. They will be available in the vendors area..
