Here's the news you've been waiting for (hopefully).  The 2021 Las Vegas AMC Reunion is scheduled for November 5-6 at the Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino ( http://www.railroadpass.com/" rel="nofollow - ).

Those who have been here know that it's an outstanding venue for the show. Once again we will have a large and fully paved show field with excellent lighting and security.  Plus the weather in early November is usually fantastic.

The room rate is $79.99 through August 31st (room rates are before tax and hotel service fee).  You are strongly encouraged to book before August 31st.  Call 702-294-5000 to make a reservation.  Don't forget to mention code AMC2021.

The Friday FREE BBQ will again be at Bicentennial Park, one of the largest and nicest parks in Boulder City. The park features plenty of parking for our cars, a gazebo, clean restrooms and playground for the kids. We will also have use of the grill and picnic tables. We haven't decided what the Friday tour will be.

As more details become available, they will be posted via email, on the AMC Forum and on over 40 AMC Facebook sites. The flyer and registration form will be available very soon.

For more information, contact club President Dion Stams (email: dionstams@sprintmail.com or call 702-688-2073)

We fully anticipate the show will go and we’ll have a great time.  We believe that most, if not all, COVID restrictions will be lifted by November.

VEGAS BABY!

That's awesome Ollie!  If someone from Mississippi is coming, certainly more from Nevada, California, Arizona, Idaho, Colorado and even the Pacific Northwest should make it.  We're hoping for a large turnout.

Hi All,
A note to let you know that The Southern Nevada AMC Club is having our 15th Annual Southwest Regional November Fifth & Sixth!

The car world has now opened up for events!  The AMC world is no exception.
Lots of AMC/Rambler events have been going on around the country!

We at the SNAMC are putting out the welcome mat to the AMC/Rambler World and you!
The show won't be the best it can be if your not here!

We are full speed ahead for our November show!  We will be at the Railroad Pass Casino.
The park in Boulder City is reserved for the FREE BBQ on Friday.  Just show up and eat our food!  Easy!!

This year the Parts Vendors will be on the south end of the lot by the Casinos big sign.
If need be we can wrap around the corner and go up the south drive isle.
That should make plenty of room for the vendors to put out lots of goodies!

Hope to be seeing you,
Ron
Treasurer Southern Nevada AMC

The 2021 Las Vegas AMC Reunion is taking shape and it’s going to be great!  I have some exciting news.  First, the show t-shirt is done and it’s awesome!  Here’s the deal.  If you are planning on coming to the show, but haven’t registered yet, do it now especially if you’re going to want more than one shirt.  For those of you who can’t make it but think this is one of the coolest show t-shirts you’ve ever seen and want one, simply print the order form and mail it to the address on the form along with payment.  Whether you’re coming and want more than one shirt or you can’t make it but want a shirt, keep in mind that all orders MUST be received NO LATER THAN October 1st.

The other exciting news is the Friday tour is a done deal. We will be cruising to the Techatticup Mine at Eldorado Canyon. It's the oldest, richest and most famous gold mine in Southern Nevada. If you’re into history and “old stuff”, you’ll love it.  The owner has quite a few old cars including a Hudson and three Metropolitans.   It’s about a 25 mile drive from Railroad Pass to the mine.  Here are the details:

http://www.eldoradocanyonminetours.com

No more than 60 (two groups of 30)

Everyone going on the tour needs to arrive at the mine by 9:45am (1st group starts tour at 10am sharp) which means we MUST depart from Railroad Pass by 9:15am

$15.00 per person (everyone pays at the gold mine, DO NOT send in payment in advance with your registration)

After you’re finished at the mine, here’s a cool idea if you’re looking for the perfect spot to take photos of your car. Another six miles from the mine, you come to the end of the road. The scenery is spectacular with beautiful blue sky, mountains and the Colorado River as the background.  It’s breathtaking!  By the time everyone returns from the mine tour, we’re sure you’ll all be hungry and we have the perfect solution.  The second event on the Friday calendar is our now famous barbeque at Bicentennial Park, one of the largest and nicest parks in Boulder City.  This park features plenty of parking for our cars, a gazebo, clean restrooms and playground for the kids. We will also have use of the grill and picnic tables. The BBQ is hosted by the Southern Nevada AMC Club and is FREE to show participants and invited guests. Andy Ray will serve as your host and grill master. It’s one of the highlights of the weekend and something everyone really enjoys. We guarantee you’ll leave with a full stomach. If all goes according to plan, we should start “serving up the grub” around 2:00pm.

VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER, IF YOU HAVEN'T BOOKED YOUR ROOM YET, THE LAST DAY TO GET THE SPECIAL RATE OF $79.99 IS AUGUST 31ST.  CALL 702-294-5000 AND MENTION CODE AMC2021.

The 15th Annual “Las Vegas AMC Reunion” takes place in less than two months and it’s going to be great!  If you’re still on the fence about whether you should come or not, I suggest you hop off the fence and hop in your car and head for Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino in Henderson, Nevada on November 5 & 6.

The show is hosted by the Southern Nevada AMC Club and is your last chance to show off your baby this year. We think it will be one of the best shows west of the Mississippi.  Highlights of the show are:

·         An absolutely awesome show t-shirt.

A great tour on Friday, November 5th..   We will be cruising to the Techatticup Mine at Eldorado Canyon ( http://www.eldoradocanyonminetours.com" rel="nofollow - ).

·         Great car show with over 70 vehicles on display.  We have cars coming from many western states as well as Illinois and Mississippi.

·         Chinese raffle featuring some excellent door prizes.

·         Awards in 14 classes.

If you are the proud owner of any Nash, Hudson, Metropolitan, Rambler, AMC or Jeep (up to 1987), you don’t want to miss this show!

If you need to book your hotel room, call Railroad Pass at 702-294-5000 and mention code AMC2021.

Now I just have to decide if I want to drive my '82 Concord or my '73 Ambassador. The Ambassador is a work in progress but nobody ever brings 70's Ambassadors to AMC shows, so it would be fun to take.

I vote for the Ambassador, though either one would be cool.  My '72 Javelin is a work in progress too and I'll probably drive it up.

You're going to Vegas 5 Nov? Cool. I'd like to meet you, I was considering the LeMons Rally the same weekend, but had planned on Vegas, so I guess I'll stick to it.

Bring the Ambo. Works-in-progress are more interesting than "done". Probably more comfortable :-)

I'm bringing the survivor Concord DL. The Ambassador probably won't have it's bumper valance back from the paint shop in time, and that's a big piece to be missing.

You underestimate Concords. I've driven a wide variety of AMC's and I think the Concord DL or Limited is the smoothest, quietest, most luxurious, best riding, most ergonomic and comfortable car that AMC ever built. It's almost freaky how quiet they are inside. It's like driving around in a tomb. You can have a conversation by whispering. There isn't a hint of vibration at any speed.

It's a shame they are not liked more. They're great cars, they're just.....boring.

Yes, Scott, you can register the day before, Friday, or even on Saturday (day of show).
Or, you can send it in now:   http://snamc.amcrc.com/21ShowRegForm.jpg" rel="nofollow - http://snamc.amcrc.com/21ShowRegForm.jpg

What hours will the show be?  And what time can we get in to setup booths?  When we will get confirmation of booths.  I did not see that info posted yet.

Going to try to make it to the park for the cookout.  Do you need me to bring anything?  Drinks, food, canopy, etc...?

I'm pretty sure the show hours will be 9-3? There is no time frame for vendor spaces. I'm planning on setting up about 7am on Saturday. The vendor area is pretty good sized, so no need to worry about confirmation. You're in! The show BBQ is a freebie! No need to bring anything except your appetite!

Would be no problem to bring stuff if needed.  Don't you still owe me for that radiator?  Been awhile.

I guess I'll setup around the same time, just wanted clarification, as some places won't allow setups until a certain time.

Just a heads up for anyone driving down to the show.  US95, east of the I-15 interchange has major roadwork going on.  Lanes in both directions are restricted down to 2 lanes.  Restrictions are from I-15 to Eastern Ave.  Add at least 30-45 minutes to your trip.

Correct, only from the I-15 interchange to Eastern Ave.  About 2 miles are affected.  Coming from Searchlight will not be affected.

Yes, you'll be fine going that way.  You could also take I-15 South to the 215 Beltway and that will take you down to the 95 in Henderson.

From the first post in this thread:

"The Friday FREE BBQ will again be at Bicentennial Park, one of the largest and nicest parks in Boulder City. The park features plenty of parking for our cars, a gazebo, clean restrooms and playground for the kids. We will also have use of the grill and picnic tables."

BBQ is slated to start around 1 p.m., but exact timing probably depends on how long the mine tour runs.

Matt, I drove a Concord once back in the day and had the same impression.  Since their suspension seems to be like every other AMC from 1970 up I often wondered how they made them so quiet.  Will have to check yours out while I'm there!

We've settled on a 1:30pm start for the BBQ, but as always, everybody is welcome to come early to watch me set up! The park is absolutely beautiful! There are picnic tables, lots of shade, and restrooms.

I'm arriving around noon, to check-in then BBQ. The mine tour is too early for me, I'd have to get up at 3am. I'm caravanning with Bruce Gasser.

Met a friend I hadn't seen in 44 years! Wow that's a trip I Can tell you. It was sort of like time hadn't passed.

We met, we just didn't know it. I was there with my red metallic Concord DL sedan.

You must have owned the gray Rambler American wagon with the orange graphics on it. Larry Daum and I were talking you you about the Carter YF that you had on it instead of the RBS. I just didn't make the connection that it was you.

Nice to meet you anyway, I suppose!

I had so much fun this year. It was wonderful to see everybody and nerd out about AMC together. I saw a lot of friends that I haven't seen in a few years.

AWW CRAP! Lol! I knew you were' gonna drive the Concord, and I saw it, at the BBQ then on the field. and I STILL forgot. Well that's amusing. I remember the conversation about the RBS etc.

Well then it will have to do for this year! lol! I'm sorry we didn't overtly connect. I guess it's easy to get distracted in circumstances like that.

The concord looked just great. Hope you had a good drive!

Thanks.  Figured it would be its usual 1st weekend in November but thought there might be more info up by now.  I know Mark, Larry, Ron etc. are short-handed and putting this show on every year is a lot of work.
