I'm trying to restore the Rallye Gauge Cluster on my 71 Javelin SST. I removed the gauge cluster from the dash and took it apart to change the lens, replace printed circuit board, etc. While I'm at it, I waned to remove the speedometer from the housing so I could grease/oil it but I am unable to pull it out of the housing. I removed the (2) screws form the back of the housing but the speedometer does not budge and it feel like I'm about the break the plastic housing. Is there a trick to removing the gauges from the housing ? Thanks Mike

No, it should come right out but on mine there was a piece of rubber between the back of the head and the housing which if it got hot it could stick it on there pretty good.
