Split fire said their plugs would add 5HP. I put one in a 3 HP lawnmower and I am pretty sure it didn’t have 8 HP.

I used to be a big Champion plug fan. Then when I was parts manager at the Hyundai dealership in '88, we'd have new cars factory equipped with Champions that wouldn't start right off the transporter. Tech would swap in some new NGKs and the problem disappeared.

Champion may have solved that quality problem by now. So just run what runs best for you, and steer clear of the "gimmick" plugs.
Buzzman72...void where prohibited, your mileage may vary, objects in mirror may be closer than they appear, and alcohol may intensify any side effects.

I heard they will also flatten your stomach, tighten your butt, and make you irresistible to women.

I'll bet NGK can't do that. Smile

Worked for Hyundai too, never heard of that. Did have a problem with engines dropping out after slight frontend collision.

We also discovered that the maximum mileage without ever changing the oil on the '88-'89 Hyundai was 17-18,000 miles. More than one customer failed to ever change the oil. They learned exactly how much a new long block cost, installed.
