The wiring differences between Mopar and AMC make me hesitate to make broad, sweeping comparisons between the two.  If you look at the photo of the Mopar one I posted, all you have to do on a Mopar is pull the relay can and internally jumper the two yellow wires.  That's it.  Put the can back on and it works and looks stock.  Easy peasy.

But I agree once more with Ross, I can't believe anyone seriously considering resuscitating one of these systems.  This is what the dealerships used for testing the system and it STILL was a pain in the posterior.

Look in your 1974 TSM for the starter solenoid wiring.  Somewhere in that circuit you'll find the interlock relay.  Connect the wires going to the interlock relay from the starting circuit and you're good.

Thank you for your response and assistance. I am not good at anything electrical so I am still lost. Could you perhaps lead me through what I need to do with a more detail and specifics. What is the TSM? The override relay has two terminals going into it. One the left side (the side at toward the front of the car) has two wires, a red one and a light blue one. The one on the right (the side toward the back of the car) has three wires coming out of it, a white, a yellow, and a green. I'm assuming I need to directly connect wires from the left to the right to bypass the switch and to do so discreetly so it looks like it's still in use. But which colors do I connect to each other?

TSM == Technical Service Manual. You really want one, the factory service manual. Preferably a real one, not a copy, as the reproductions often have terrible drawings and lousy schematics. Even a greasy is fine. Ebay or used book stores.
