My question is: I've got a 390 street strip engine that revs to 6700 rpm, I'm freshening it up and I have access to Milodon oil pans with both internal and external oiling. Which one should I use? Is the internal adequate or is the external required for that rpm? Thanx, Scramboy.

Lucky you, access to parts at present is not good. If its a street car with occasional strip use I would run with a large sump ( larger than stock) so you have plenty of oil, but the internal pickup should be adequate. The external is for different oil pump setups, and racing where side loads on the oil may be an issue. Others on here may advise a specific Milodon pan, there is a road race one which doesn`t hang down too low which may be a good choice.
