It's not going to be for everyone. For those wanting more of a performance pan, they can use other offerings out there.

I was thinking, hoping, it was going to look close to the factory with more capacity for the people wanting that look.

In the end it will be a factory depth, factory replacement pan, used with a factory pickup and added capacity. Then end user can literally swap out the pan for extra capacity.

I did not get any pricing yet but I hope it will be 300 or less.

At 380 for the Milodon 30780 pan with factory capacity it will be a better choice in my opinion.

Years ago, there was someone on bulltear, that modified their pan by splitting 1.5 or 2in tubing and welding to the sides of the pan to widen the bottom and added a police style baffle, gave more capacity without changing length or depth.

Police style  baffle is worthless unless you're just cruising to ARBYS or DQ

Is the capacity on this modified pan set at 7.5 - 8 qts.?

Not sure on volume until I see the new one

This pan depth was a little too much for the factory pickup tube. The new one will be about a little less than 1/4" shallower

I estimate it will be a 6-7 quart pan to the bottom of the baffle

John, I like the stock pans that you modify for increased depth since they look more ‘stock’ and use the stock baffles. Might be a business opportunity for you there…

My thoughts exactly. The original design of a stock appearing higher capacity oil pan was great, and nobody was producing one yet. Unfortunately,  this new pan looks like any other boxey race pan on the market. Though, it is nice that it won't hang down much lower than a stock pan. Too bad Moroso didn't share your vision John, but thanks for your efforts. If the price point is right, it will still be a good selling piece.

Like I said, I thought it was going to be like the pans I was making but it is still a good option for a bolt on without having to replace the pickup also

I will not know until I get the final pan but I would say the pan will hold 6qts to the full mark with the option of an extra for those who run an extra

This is the pan I was making. It held 7.5-8 qts with a one quart filter filling it to the full line on the dipstick
