the struts were from Honda Odyssey ,just luck they were perfect rating. I'd say the rebel hood will be a fair bit lighter than the matador

Did a wee fix on sloppy mirror.had a broken cast piece in behind mirror, it holds the tension and allows the mirror to move as well when adjusting, so managed to make one by miging a couple of bits of a nail into a cross.worked a treat!

Looking great, you should be proud of your work. Always liked the Matador coupe. Set up a few when working at an AMC dealership back then.

Still doing fiddly bits.found a vacum leak at the check valve grommet.would explain bad cold idle and slack booster.getting there.hope to have new screen on its way here soon courtesy of Dan Curtis😁

Did a easy wee fix on my faulty idle solenoid.pulled it apart,cleaned it up and resoldered a broken coil wire to earth.works a treat now.easy!

sorting some more wee issues ,took out heater core,it was toast.
replaced with a late model Mitzy L300 van one,similar size,all back together now getting there

Finally got the car out of the shed.a few wee teething things to sort but almost there.Just  my front windsheild to come and that is the major work done.
Noticed it has quite stiff suspension that smooths out a lot with speed.
