Hi Guys,i have been away for a while from amc's when I sold my '68 AMX and then '68 Javelin -should have kept those Confused-I bought a 66 formula S Barracuda project and thought that was thatSmile ,until a Matador X Coupe appeared on our local site here in New Zealand.
I saw it and after minutes of looking just bought it,it's a project ,got rust to fix ,needs  a screen and looks to be blown head gasket .
interior is ok, good bucket seats console etc ,nice rallye wheels ,tubular headers,360 2 barrel, new head gasket set in the boot.just $2500 new Zealand dollars which is $1500 usd .
good buying I thought, will post more pics when i get some daylight light

Is it left hand or right hand drive???

Windscreens are very hard to find that are not cracked.......good luck with the project, lots suspension and driveline mechanicals are same as many other 70 Up AMC, but they have tons of Coupe unique stuff.

PM Me if you need any help or parts!!

Is it a floor shift automatic ? I also have a 1974 Matador X coupe 360 V-8 console automatic. Which is not all that common. LRDaum

Ross, it's got to be left hand drive. The steering wheel is on the left. If the picture image was flipped then the gas door would not be visible.
Long time AMC fan. Ambassador 343, AMX 390, Hornet 360, Spirit 304 and Javelin 390. All but javelin bought new.

The shifter handle, lever and all those bits are unique for a Matador Coupe.   I have a used shift lever and some other floor shifter parts if they are missing.....need to know exactly h=what you need, you can always send me pictures at my e-mail.  amj2626@yahoo.com
