I need a new master cylinder cover for my 1977 hornet 258/manual disk/drum brakes.  Do these interchange with any other non-amc models (ford,gm.mopar)?  Trying to find just the cover in my area is next to impossible.

Thanks,
Dan

Yes, they should interchange.

I just replaced the master cylinder on my Eagle (82) and the cover is good on the old one. It's of course not new, but it's ok.
I half-suspect that the cover from the old master from my Javelin might work, too. I'll compare.
If that's the case, I have an extra cover since I used new cylinders, I don't need to send back any cores and typically save these only for parts.

Dan
Have you tried taking the old cover over to the new Autozone in town or the Advance Auto in GD Heights?
Look in the Mr. gasket section at the chrome ones.

Yes, I'd expect one of those to fit, too.
