It will hold so long as you never get traction. Personally I would be changing rear end if I was you. Tom

Without knowing all the particulars of your project I'll list some rear end options in the order I would be using based strictly on cost.
1. Ford 8.8" from a pickup truck 2. Dana 60 3. 9" Ford Tom

I got DrDiff passenger axles, which you cut to size, Moser have you send yours for measuring. Tom`s choices of Ford allow other upgrades, like floating hubs, different ratios etc., as there is a lot of Ford racing equipment currently available, obviously not the case for AM20`s.

Isn't a complete used Ford 8.8 less cost than a pair of AMC Model 20 Carrier Brgs, or R&P Set alone?

Yards around here will sell you an Explorer 8.8", with disc brakes, 31-spline axles, posi, and have your choice of 3.55, 3.73, or 4.10 gear complete for $300 or less. Tom |
