Can someone please refresh my memory...
The round key opens the trunk right??? and the square key not only for the ignition, but for both front doors right? The AMX I just bought, round opens trunk. Square one only turns the ignition, but not the doors. I just bought a whole new AMC key set with trunk lock, two door locks and one ignition lock. Is the ignition one real hard to install? Any info is greatly appreciated. |

I believe the round key should also unlock the glove box as well. Bruce

Depends on the year. My '77 AMX had a trunk key that also fit the console box and doors. Ignition key fit the glovebox.

I believe the square key is for the ignition and doors. The round key for everything else.

That was not factory....square key for Doors, Ignition, AND hatch. Round key for glove box/council.
