Yes on more AMC events every year.A AMC class at local open events would be nice but will never  happen. The Kenosha event should be every year just like other make cars have.

"So you live in Michigan, and are a part of the Great Lakes club (presumably since you hosted a meeting for them recently), but you aren’t going to attend the Michigan AMO show? Or you are going to both, but now aren’t getting a hotel room? Why would it make any difference since you are basically local? "

I never said I would not attend and not support Great Lakes AMC. I will attend. However, I have to rethink my offsite Thursday swap meet because I don't think there will be enough people to attend. I also will not need a hotel room as yes I live 80 minutes from the host hotel; However I always get a room as I like to hang out in the parking lot and talk to fellow AMC'ers and have some cocktails. I just don't think there will be much action. So I canceled Friday and Saturday night.

As for Great Lakes; I don' think I am saying anything out of line. I just think Kenosha just made a 325 car meet in Michigan a 80 car meet. So the entry fees, Banquet attendance and Swap meet will all be affected. I should ask; but I think Great Lakes has Banquet and Room Guarantees. They should downsize if possible to preserve capital and minimize losses.

I disagree, I think you will still have a great turnout!

Outside of joint meets held in Kenosha, AMO hasn’t had a 325 car meet in decades, maybe ever. A good Midwest show is usually around 150 cars, with half of those being display only.

Kenosha homecoming 2 short weeks before the AMO nationals in the Detroit area.
Thanks Kenosha for financially screwing over the Great Lakes Classic AMC club.
Anyone that claims that this will not adversely affect the attendance and subsequent financial outcome of hosting the national event is full of rotten brats.......
The AMO leadership is also culpable in this bad decision due to their lack of involvement with the city of Kenosha in planning their home coming event.

I wanted to go to this so bad but after 2 cancellations I decided I don’t need to go after all. Too many other shows that won’t cancel on you to go to.

Kenosha can cancel, beat me up, and leave me beside the road for dead-and I will still show up when they decide to have their event. They cancelled twice with enough advance notice that I am not out a dime and there is time to plan to go somewhere else.  I am disappointed but no sniveling, I can handle it.

Lucky if the Detroit show is only 2 weeks before Kenosha I will be attending both! For the long haulers like myself the 2 shows makes the trip even more worth it!

AMO has no say in when Kenosha reschedules.
