That's why they sell calipers and thread pitch gauges.

are the gauges  good brand name or cheap Chinese ones? that will tell you right there if they are metric.

Any reason why you can't use the stock one on the new gauge? Do you know the ohm range of the new vs the original?

I do have the ohm resistance for the aftermarket one, but not the factory style. I wired up everything on the factory style and it read 200+ totally cold. Also even wired up a separate ground just to make sure it wasn’t a ground issue.
