Is it necessary to install weld in injector bungs or can the manifold just be drilled?

Kind regards,
Coop

It would depend if the o-rings on the injectors seal properly.  I am pretty sure that the holes are stepped in the Edelbrock setup I'm using.  So it depends if there is enough aluminum to get the injectors to seal.
My guess is that you will need to weld bungs into the manifold.

There appears to be injector bosses cast into the Indy intake, so you should just need to drill the appropriate holes:

There's no need to weld bungs onto the Indy intake.
Just machine the bosses that are there already.
I have a couple Indy intakes that are modified for EFI & the only welding that had to be done was to secure the fuel rail on a set up I bought (see pic).  My other intake is still being machines but didn't require any welding.
