You need a larger diameter bolt that can handle getting struck on the end..

put something between the axle end and the screw
found this on the web personally used this style on the amc no problem. i dont even remember using hear |

Impact gun helps too. I turned the inside of a old hub from a different make and used a m20 8.8 bolt with a nut on the inside of the hub welded. Works a treat.
