I tried to find a blower intake for my 360, but no success...
So I was in the same situation as I was when I did not find aluminium oil pan for V8. Then I casted my own... I had some pics here, but I couldn´t find them anymore... so... this thread is from another forum... amccars.net/cgi/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1330599221;start=all I had most of the parts for my blown 360, but intake manifold. I had a new casting project on my mind but had no time to made all necessary jobs... So, when I found an Offenhauser intake for sale, I just knew what to do... One big opening... ... needs a cover... ...and a spacer. Put them together... And then weld it! Finish it to be even with crankshaft... Finished product... A pic of the machine that made the job... My friend Jape does the work for me. Edited by juhap - Jul/23/2017 at 7:55am |

gentlemen of the forum, if you have not seen this mans work before, well, here it is. He is a regular poster on the Eagles Den forum, and is currently redoing an Eagle wagon, that was not only rusted out top to bottom, but also ROLLED at some point, his work and skills are so many light years from mine it is not even funny. If he needs an oil pan, why, just casts his own, a new plastic Rally gauge console, makes a mold and casts it. Only 5 AMC Eagles in Finland, so, there are no parts, but his skills and ingenuity are beyond (at least my) comprehension. Truly an example of the art of the possible. BTW, that blown 360 is for the Eagle.
good day and good luck, gentlemen, gz

don't know, car is still in progress, but I believe it will, after all he's in FINLAND, where there is more snow than sun! That's why he cast his own oilpan, so it will fit the Eagle., btw, he also had a new windshield MADE, from scratch, gee, what is involved, get some sand. melt it, put it in a mold, cool it, done! how simple was that! Truly an amazing (and humbling) project. Apparently Finland is a glass blowing superpower, who knew!:)
anyway good luck, gz

Hello again...
I´m going to use this blower set up first on my American Gasser. Final goal is a Pro street American... Here is my pics of my gasser project... It is 65 body with 68 fiberglass front and tail lights. I´m using 57 Chevy pick up front axle and 37 Chevy steering. Not many stock parts, because this was parts donor for my two 65 American projects. A stock "plain Jane" 2 d sedan and 440H Hardtop (only one in Finland) ![]() Here you can see blower lurking... ![]() Thats true that I´m going to have a V8 Eagle. We have here in Finland only 9 Eagles, I have 4 of them... And this rusty and twice rolled one is going to have 304... Here are pics of making supports for front axle... ![]() The other side ![]() |
