To me the calipers look like the ones used on 77-up Hornet, Gremlin, Pacer, 78-up Concord, 79-81 Spirit, and even 78-81 Jeep CJ's used the same caliper.

I am always willing to learn more about our cars. I have the "big" Bendix brakes from a 75 Matador on one of my 68's. What is it visually that identifies the OP's brakes as being from a later model?  Thanks!

thanks ramblinrev and Steve

the calipers are clearly cast Bendix and appear to be the same as 75-77 ish years for the Hornet, Matador, ect.

Am i right to think that the steering knuckle, spindle, hub/vented rotor would also be from the 77 ish Hornet, Matador, etc?

what about the upper control arm? Is that 72-74 Javelin?

and how did they modify the spring/shock on your car (upper tower)?

 1. Dunno
 2. Dunno
 3. No modifications to my car. Bolted donor spindle, rotor, caliper and bracket to the original knuckle.

UCA looks to be '70-up stock AMC.

Looks like big-bearing Bendix to me, '75-78 with the standard 70+ upper control arm.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but caliper piston is 3.1" on 75-78 and 2.6" after '78.  That should tell you which Bendix caliper you have.
