Scratch what I said earlier about the turbocharger.
I talked to Terry recently about this car. He tells me it's actually the oil pump that is out and he has so far been unable to locate a new oil pump for it. I'd be tearing it apart and making whatever parts are necessary to fix the oil pump, even if I had to machine them myself. That's what mills and lathes are for.

May have to go to the parent country (I believe it's an Italian engine?) for parts. Wasn't used much over here, but over there it was popular enough parts should still be available.

"This new Turbo-Diesel Eagle out-corners Trans Am in soft sand, out-accelerates Mustang Turbo in loose dirt, outbrakes the MGB on dry pavement. And that's only the beginning." What accolades!

Hope it gets restored. Surprised it's not a fairly common turbo
that had rebuild parts available for it. Schwitzer/3K, Garret, Holset
etc along with a bunch of Bosch injection parts on top of someone else's engine. Now then most anything else going wrong I don't know that I'd want to count on getting parts.
