I built mine over 2 years ago out of scrap and spare parts.. I was looking for information to modify it to run 4.0 engines with the computer etc.

I built mine but mostly copied the summit design.  I made mine longer because I really want to be able to look at/work at the front of the engine.  also want 6 cylinder motors to fit.

one tip.  when reading the reviews for the summit stand someone mentioned that their engine hoist legs didn't fit under the stand. made it really hard to get the engine on it.  really glad I read that. I made sure mine was off the ground enough for my hoist legs to easily roll under...

I haven't actually run a motor on it yet but i'm close :)

I bought the same one from Summit.  I modified it, mounted my EFI control module and the electric fuel pump, fuel tank, etc.  It worked well but needed to modify a few things which is expected.  If I had the time I might have been better off designing and building a custom stand.  I'll share pictures of mine once I get enough points.
