That bolt was left over from a torsion bar tool that I broke a long time ago. Dennis |

I'm REALLY glad to see folks using ALL 5 bolts on those things. 2 or 3 risks damage to the hub.
The type with "jaws" will also ruin/bend a hub and I've found those to be usually worthless anyway. This is the Kent-Moore tool. Even this one has been welded - either my former boss or his pretty much useless son broke it and it was welded/repaired before Andy gave it to me a while back when he was forced to retire and I obtained a number of his old "Rambler tools" as he called them. But it does the trick for sure.

I'm not kidding. Considering what those less-than-desirable leg-style pullers sell for, I would think you could make and sell somewhere between 5 and 10 of those in short order. {AMC people being notoriously frugal, doubt the others would pony up a decent price. But I think they'd sell...especially with dual AMC/Jeep lug patterns. Remember my Pappy's tool rule: better to have a tool and seldom need it, than to need a tool and not have it. |
