Got these hanging on the car now and they look sweet, but what size lugnuts did these use originally? Would like to be able to just get some at napa or auto zone for now..

This depends on what year Magnum 500, or maybe I should say what year your car is.  68 thru mid 69 used a Stainless Steel Capped Lug Nut, Mid 69 thru 74 plus used a full chrome plated solid lugnut, much longer then capped lug nut.  All original lug nuts were 3/4" hex and 1/2"-20 NF thread.  In some cases you may need to use a 13/16" hex for wheels that have the wheel mounting holes worn oversize....that size was used on Ford with Magnum 500's.  The first pic shows each lug nut with description, the second pic is a profile view to show how different they are.   Hope this helps.

Very helpful. I'll look for the closest to the 68 magnum lugnuts that I can find locally. the 3rd one over looks exactly like what american racing used with their torque thrust D's I used to run on the car. I am putting the car back to as stock as possible looking so the chrome magnum 500's really brought that period correct look back.

Check Fee-bay. Dozens of sets of 20 Acorn Bulge chrome lug nuts in 1/2"X20, generally under $20 & free shipping. These fit my well worn Magnum 500 rims and new ones are cheaper than cleaning the old ones. Unless you look VERY close, they look like the long version Ross showed.
