Can anyone tell me the correct appication of the Carter AFB 6046S carburetor in 67. Was this for the sticks or the automatics?

Below is some information I ran across here (On the AMCForum ),while doing some research on Carter AFB's.It was part of a thread that I had participated in back in 2009.
The information was part of a post ,posted by "classguy" . He added this excellent information ,and thought I'd repost it here for you. It looks like the AFB you have,is a replacement carb. for the 67-9 343-390 engines,with both Manual or Automatic transmission.
