We are a restoration shop in Iowa looking for some help on changing over to a Delco alternator on a 66 Rambler Classic with a 287. This is our first AMC restoration so we are fairly new to there setups. Looking for help on what alternator to get, also what is needed to be modified brackets etc...?  I've done a bunch of google searching and can only find stuff on the 290-401 swaps.

Also is it possible to swap out the vacuum wipers for an electric run unit. Have heard from some ppl that something off an Ambassador might work?

We also put a new Painless wiring harness in car. The old one was beyond repair. Mice had a hay day with it. Any issues with using this harness?

Any info is very much appreciated. Thanks alot Brandon (G-Force Customs Hot Rods and Restorations)
