Been there done that, when I was a lot younger. I don't recommend it, I drove through the city and drove in  a big circle for over an hour and couldn't figure out why I kept passing the same places. about 10 miles each trip. (no pun intended) Tongue I did make it home ok though. 
It's their car, they can do what they want with it.
