How about an AMC powered Chevy
I bet it doesn't have a BBC in it. (The article is a few years old) Dave

I always wanted to have a nice split back vette with AMC engine power. The chevy car show guys would just go crazy when they saw the distributor in the front.

I've been hearing that for over 20 years and still no one has put up any Vette$$$$$ in an attempt to raise someone's feathers

There's a guy here in the Denver area with a Ford 429 powered Vette. Pretty quick, but raises some hackles of the purists at shows. Bob tufcj

I bought a back-half Vega back around 1980 and I was going to put a 340 Mopar in it but ended up bailing on hot.
And then I bought a ’70 AMX (not the one I have now) and put a 440 Mopar in it followed by a pretty nice 451 Mopar with a PG and Ford 9” rear. It ran 9.90’s. Lived down the street from a guy that had a 428 CJ in a ’69 AMX. Thought that was pretty cool! Seeing that is what convinced me a 440 would fit in one.
