Any words of wisdom from anyone before I tackle this project?  Thanks. Big smile

Start on the passenger side and begin where the 'A' pillar and roof join together.  That way the seal aligns with the corner.  Then work towards each end.  Passenger side??  That way if a mistake is made, it is not as noticeable as it would be if it was on the driver's side.  This generally is true of anything done to the car.

That's how I do it. If it's a little short, clamp it and stretch it to the length it needs. I use the 3M black weatherstrip adhesive.

It's the only way to do it. The corner and work your way out to each end.

OK. After some thought, that makes total sense to start at the A pillar/roof junction.  I am 'assuming' it doesn't take much adhesive to hold the rubber in the channel? Some for sure at the lower front end. Some small dabs elsewhere in the channel? I haven't removed the old rubber yet to see how much adhesive the factory used. Thanks everyone!

I run a bead so more the entire length. The aftermarket stuff doesn't fit like the original stuff did and I don't want it falling off.

Old passenger side is out. No evidence of any kind of adhesive from the factory. Wondering about using black liquid electrical tape to put on the small steel wind clips to clean them up a bit?

If one has a Tubular Rivet tool, the blow-out clips can be removed, cleaned and coated with black Plasti-dip.  Plasti-dip is the costing used to insulate or cushion tool handles.  Dip the part or tool to the desired depth and hang to air dry.

Thanks, Mike. The liquid electrical tape is a very similar product. Needs a few coats to build some thickness.
