Hi guys,
I just saw a post where people were talking about bad effects of no Trans oil in the Trans during the 20 min break in.

My transmission did not have oil in it through the 20mjn break in, or any other times I had run the engine.

What kind of effect does this activity possibly have on a Borg warner t96 transmission with no oil in it?

As with any manual transmission, no oil can overheat bearings, gears, synchronizer wear, seal wear ...
It's better then what would happen with an automatic transmission.
If it's not making any unusual noise and shifts fine, there may have been enough residual oil to prevent complete failure of internal parts.
Fill it with the correct oil, run it for 500 miles and listen/feel. If you don't detect anything overly bad, change the oil and see how much metal comes out.
If you don't get more then a dimes worth of metal, fill it and drive on knowing that you just put 50,000+ miles of wear on it and there is a transmission rebuild in the future - anyone's guess.
If you get more then a dimes worth of metal or bigger then metal dust particulate, a rebuild is likely to come much sooner. You will know when it tells you. It won't shift right or start howling at different speeds or in different gears.
Better to rebuild when you notice the change as then more parts will be salvageable.
