I've got all the rocker arms clearanced so I can rest easy on that now.

I installed a stock pushrod, which is about 1/8 shorter than what I've been using and the pattern really didn't move much. Maybe slightly worse. Guess since the valve stem and rocker arm stud aren't in parallel (they're closer together at their tops, kind of trapezoid shaped) shortening the pushrod moves the rocker pivot further away from the valve.

Did you look at that article that I posted from motor trend? It’s got some good examples there. I think you’re actually too short and you need to try some longer ones.

Yes I read the article. I made an adjustable pushrod some years back but don't think I have it anymore. I spoke with my engine builder and they believe a longer pushrod would make the rod clearance a bit worse and the pattern isn't too horrible. They're the same parts that were in it before so I guess they'll be okay.

I would be curious what a push rod that was about .125 inch longer would look like on your wire pattern. It might not impact anything for clearance on your rocker. Just curious. You are correct, it is not an awful pattern.

Agree 100% prettiest engine color ever.

Did you machine the water pump connections to the thermostat bypass and heater core so that a threaded hose barb fitting could be inserted??  Or ???

No, the pump was made that way. It's an Edelbrock pump.
