Couple of photos from Musclepalooza on Saturday. These photos are from the Hemmings article on the show. The show itself was eh, but I got to spend time with my dad and had a bunch of laughs.
To the guy with the AAR Cuda, sorry I lowered the value of your car parking this thing next to you. I could tell how unhappy you were lol.

No pictures of the car, but scored some badass new(old) tires for the SC today at the Carlisle swap meet. I’ve hated the brand new N50-15’s since I mounted them, but all the other pairs I have won’t hold air. Walking around and scored these. 1976 date code Formula 1 Super Stock N50’s. I don’t think these have ever been mounted as the beads looks brand new. If they were used it wasn’t for very long. Very excited to get them mounted. Going to try and get them mounted this week. I’m also trying to decide wether to keep the crossram on the car for now or swap to the UR18. |

Just don't plan on driving around much on those old tires. Good for moving around the shop, on-off trailer and display only. They MIGHT take a burn-out or two (just enough to make some smoke), but I wouldn't try it! Many places recommend changing tires that are over FIVE years old. That must be the tire industry. I go ahead and change mine at 10 year intervals even if they still have 50% or more tread life -- sooner if they show signs of deterioration. I've never blown one from age on a car, but have on a camper I owned. Luckily it didn't tear anything up, but I've seen too many photos of cars and campers where a tire came apart and tore up a fender/wheel well. I don't drive my Rambler a lot any more, but I would jump in it tomorrow and drive it from SC (where I live) across to CA without hesitation -- just a check of fluids and tire pressure and go! I like to keep it that way, and take it for at least a 20 minute drive every 4-6 weeks (well, sometimes more like 8 over the winter holiday season).

There is no way I would drive on those tires. Cool for display or a show car though.

If you come to Morgantown or Carlisle and look under the car you’d see that the tires are the least of my concern lol.
