If the axle and hub come together which I believe that are going to, and the bearings on the replacement axle feel and look good would I be better served just installing it as is and not splitting the hub from the axle (obviously I would retorque the nuts)? |

I got my axles and hubs, they shipped separate but the parts look fantastic, I ordered new bearing and seals also.

The hubs should be matched to the axle if used. Hopefully they marked them or sent packaged together. If the hubs are new they will be smooth on the inside, no splines. The main reason you change the bearings is that they are machined with the race. If you kept the old bearings on the axle they would wear fast as the race in the housing is different, not machined and matched to that bearing. Races can be tough to get out!

The seller did mark them to keep as a set so I will reassemble them that way. He actually sent me the races and shims as well but the bearing keeper has a bit of a dent in it so I was thinking it would be better to change it. The bearings themselves look fine.
