Trying to figure out what transmission I have in my '65 Marlin. 337 with the oil cooled BW transmission. Need to replace a leaking pan gasket.

Multiple parts suppliers and parts stores list 2 transmissions (T12/T35) and some search sites list transmissions that start with "M". All say they fit a 1965 Marlin with a 327.

If anybody has a part number I could cross reference that would be even better.

Look for the plate on the transmission. This link has a reasonable photo. If original, it should be a BW flash-o-matic 10B used only in 65 and 66:

It's a Borg-Warner model 8 or model 10. They use the same pan. The difference is the valve body. Model 8's use a vacuum modulator and model 10's use a throttle cable.

They might be the same pan as the model 35. It's just a simple rectangle.
