My 68 Jav weatherstripping is dried out and cracking, anyone have any tips for removing it?

rip it out then use a solvent to clean the surface or a plastic bristle brush what ever is least damage to surface

Since it's brittle and cracking, there's no saving it, so just tear it out.   Around the side windows, it's just a press fit into the stainless rail.  You won't be able to remove it without tearing.   Same for the trunk lid, just a press fit.

Check with the AMC vendors for replacements.  American Parts Depot, Kennedy American, Etc.   I think Metro is about the only company making replacement seals, so no matter who you buy it from, it's probably made by Metro.
