Didn't realize until after all my front and rear brakes were rebuilt that i installed the shoes on wrong.  I put the shoe with the most pad material on the front position and the one with less pad material on the rear position.  Does anyone know what the result in braking will be for this.  I put them on in the same way I found them; and realized it after I was driving the car again.  I KNOW I have to reverse them but was wondering how this will affect braking.
Thanx in advance

Want a guess?  The braking won't be quite as good and the rear shoe will prematurely wear.  I could be all screwed up but the front shoe is supposed to assist with actuating the rear shoe by rotating towards the front of the vehicle.

With the brake shoes installed correctly, rear braking is never as good as forward braking.  I would think reversing the shoes is going to change this to just the opposite.

A friend had a problem with his drum brakes grabbing, and when I found the primary and secondary shoes reverses, and fixed that...no more grabbing!
