Hi guys, Want to repaint the strips inside my lower side panels, the metal strip that runs outside of the car under the doors. Think I can do a better job if i remove them. Dont see any info about taking them off. THANKS in advance for your help, Jim in the sticks of TN

By your Forum name, I 'll take a stab that you have a 68-70 AMX?   68-9 has phillips screws in the face, 70 has phillips screws on the bottom edge....71-74 has a cap at the front and a few screws along bottom edge.

I fixed the title, so it's clear what you're asking...
74 Hornet Hatchback X twins (since 1977)
62 American Convertible (still worth the $50 I spent in 1973!) AMCRC #513, AMO #384
70 AMX 360 4-speed (since 1981)
