I just bought a 1968 Rogue. It’s missing a few items but mainly the seats. Can someone tell me what models of Ramblers and years will have seats that will interchange with the 68 Rogue?

I would like to use buckets in the front if possible (I have a console since I own other AMC’s) if not possible then what split benches will work?

Thanks much in advance.

The bucket seat slides for the American series cars are very rare and hard to find.  Most had bench seats (even the SC/Ramblers).   That said, when I got my 67 Rogue, it had bucket seats from a 68 AMX in it (on the American slides).   If you can find the slides, you can adapt about any bucket seat.

SC/Ramblers came with individual reclining seats, not a bench seat.

Thanks so much for the info. . Well, I won’t have to worry about that until I find another. The deal is off.

I am not sure about this, but I thought that Hornet/Gremlin seats would fit into the Americans.
I never tried to put them in an American, but I did put Spirit seats into one of my Javelins.
All I had to do was swap the Javelin brackets onto the Spirit seats.
I wanted fully adjustable seats in my Javelin, and they worked great.
Has anyone ever tried the other small car buckets into the American?
If they do fit, it would give you many more possible options.

Mel, I think Ollie on the Forum put Concord bucket seats in his American.
