Hi Johnvelin,
I got the cables from American Parts Depot.  They fit perfectly.  Very nice reproduction.

A Sad Update…
I regret to inform everyone who has followed this thread, that my niece’s father has passed away at the age of 92.  He was preceded in death by his wife, just a few months ago.  The only positive thing is that my niece was able to share all the pictures and videos of the revival with him.  She told me he was thrilled to see the car back on the road, after all these years.  He basically parked it 25 years ago to switch his priorities to his growing family.  Hopefully my niece can enjoy the car and the memories it holds for years to come.  I’ll be wrenching on it from time to time, when I visit them in Houston.  Thanks again to everyone here who helped make this revival happen!

Regards,
John

Thank you for taking us along on your journey of resurrecting one of the worlds greatest looking automobiles (IMO). Glad the Forum and members were able to help.

Even though the car is now in Houston, I’m still looking after it.  I’m currently in Myrtle Beach, heading back towards home in Michigan.  Always keeping my eyes open on Marketplace, I found a (supposedly) good working 68 tach for $50.  Picked it up to switch out when I head to Houston to visit my niece, and the car of course!  If either, or both tachs need repair, at least I’ll have a placeholder in the dash… Happy Easter everyone.

Regards,
John

Very good price on the tach. Hopefully it works! Thanks for staying active here and keeping us updated.

Excellent job, now your niece can drive the car and think of her dad every time.  That’s a very good thing you did there, not many people would have done all that. Thumbs Up
