Re-routing A/C lines under the compressor will increase hose length and reduce stress on the fittings

We are just using heat shrink clamps over Magna Braid hose, and over actual fittings, for looks

A little lacquer thinner will strip the writing off of the hose clamps. Really nice progress on the build. Its always fun trying to make everything fit. Keep up the good work! Mike

1970 AMX, one step forward, one step back. Both steps cost time and money.

That worked out nice and should prevent breaking the fittings. Looks really good.

Back at it again!
If this vehicle is never runs, it could qualify for the creative plumbing award. Last missing item from the front is compressor to the condenser line, which will be installed once 1/2" line bender is delivered. The front passenger fender attachment tab and fender are notched and will provide for an easy removal, hopefully never, if required. A/C lines are completed, from the compressor to the bulkhead. Remaining water line from the back of the block to the bulkhead will be in this week, waiting on Magna wrap to be delivered. A/C compressor to condenser line will be next Water and A/C lines are completed at the cab bulkhead port One more A/C line to the Vintage Air system and we should be able to check for the leaks. |

I'm actually looking forward to this part of my build.. are you custom building your lines in your shop yourself? If so which system are you using?
